Job Summary:

The Gear Learning group located in the Wisconsin Center for Education Research manages multiple sources of funding to support the research and development for new and existing game-based learning applications. Our vision is to serve the public as a leading center for games for impact by developing games with broad audiences, demonstrated impact and supported scale. We conduct research and development in games for impact that spans discovery to delivery, producing both technology products and human capital.

The Graphic Artist will work under the supervision of staff Art and Production Directors and project leads to create artwork and animations for a variety learning games in a variety of art styles. The position requires the ability to work in both 2D and 3D software packages as Photoshop, Maya, and 3DS MAX. In addition, the position is responsible for working within the Unity 3D game engine to animate and optimize rigged models designed to function on a variety of platforms such as iOS, Android, Web and stand-alone executables.

This is a one-year position with the option to extend for an additional year, or make permanent pending additional funding.


Schedule Comment:

7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with a 45-minute lunch break. Some schedule flexibility permitted.
