Position Description: The University of Northern Iowa's College of Humanities, Arts & Sciences-Department of Technology seeks a temporary faculty member to teach TECH 4110 Manufacturing Process Planning for seniors studying Manufacturing Engineering Technology.
Education Requirements: Master's degree in manufacturing engineering technology, mechanical or manufacturing engineering, metallurgy, or related field required.
Required Qualification: Required qualifications include experience in manufacturing and knowledge in the following topics: product cycle in manufacturing, product quality, machining capability, assembly capability, part design for producibility, design for manufacturing and assembly, concurrent engineering, tolerance stacking, operation selection, manufacturing process selection, tooling selection, tolerance charting, process perameter selection, cost estimation, and economics of process planning.
Desirable Qualifications: Master's degree and/or experience in manufacturing operations preferred.
