The Duke Department of Community and Family Medicine has an opening for an Advanced Practice Provider within the Division of Community Health. This position is part of a community-based initiative delivering medical care in the homes of adults and seniors within the Durham Community.

The person in this position functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team and travels to private homes and low income housing complexes to screen, identify and treat health conditions. The ideal candidate for this position is energetic, enjoys working with adults and seniors, has excellent oral and written communications skills, good customer service skills and can relate to people of varied socio-economic backgrounds.

Education
Work requires a bachelor's degree in Health Science and a Physician Assistant Certificate of Registration with the North Carolina Medical Board or be certification eligible, and be certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Experience
Reliable transportation and at least two years of clinical work experience is strongly preferred. Internal or geriatric medicine work experience is preferred.

Licensure
• Certified in Basic Life Support within three months of entry and continuously thereafter.
