Description
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas Austin has multiple faculty openings with a start date of Fall 2019, including several endowed chair positions. Exceptional candidates in any area of electrical and computer engineering will be considered. Senior candidates should have an internationally recognized record of sponsored research and scholarship and possess the qualities necessary for academic leadership. We are interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, research, and service. Qualifications
Applicants should have received or expect to receive a doctoral degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or a related discipline prior to September 2019. Successful candidates are expected to supervise graduate students, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop a sponsored research program, collaborate with other faculty, and be involved in service to the university and profession.

We will begin evaluation of applications immediately and will continue throughout the academic year until positions are filled. Earlier submission by November 15, 2018 is strongly encouraged.

Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, current curriculum vita, statement of research, and teaching philosophy. For tenured positions, applications should include a minimum of five references who will submit original letters of reference directly to the website. For tenure-track faculty positions, at least three references who will submit original letters of reference should be included. Candidates may also submit an optional diversity statement (statement addressing past and/or potential contributions to diversity through research, teaching, and/or service) if they wish.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an Employment Eligibility Verification form and provide documents to verify identity and eligibility to work in the U.S. A security sensitive background check will be conducted on the applicant selected.
