Sr. Inspector / Asst. Warranty Administrator

Responsible for ensuring construction and renovation work performed by contractors and trades adheres to contract documents, applicable codes and University standards. Any discrepancies or deviations from plans and specifications are documented and reported to the contractor and project manager for corrective action.
Acts as a field liaison between the Facilities Project Manager and the contractor or trades regarding schedule and issues that arise in the field has the authority to make final decisions in the field.
Makes regular inspections of work performed by contractors and trades to verify compliance with plans and specifications. The Inspector conducts, or coordinates, all testing required by the project scope, plans and specifications. The Inspector is responsible for obtaining all test reports and approvals specified in the project.
Responsible for providing final project sign-off indicating work has been completed in compliance will all contract requirements.
Assist the Warranty Administrator with the Warranties and Guarantees for capital construction and renovation projects interfacing with operations and maintenance personnel, contractors, and project managers. Assists in the creation, maintenance, and archiving of a comprehensive database of Warranties and Guarantees tracking the start and end of each one.

Salary: Range $38.11 - $40.50
Total Hours: 7-3:30, M-F
Contract Position.
Employee may be required by the needs of the University to work outside of the normal work schedule.
Employee may be required to travel more than 50 miles from campus including overnight stays.
Must participate in the Employee Pull Notice Program.
Final candidate subject to background check.
