Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track - Illustration
The Illustration Program in the School of Art at Syracuse University invites applicants for an Assistant Professor position in Illustration. Candidates must have an MFA in Illustration or related field and at least three years of teaching experience at the College/University level. They should have a strong foundation in traditional approaches supporting contemporary practices across a broad spectrum and that includes an interest in a number of fields such as editorial and sequential illustration, licensing and the entertainment industry.
You will be joining a dedicated faculty, teaching students with diverse backgrounds and interests. As a major Illustration Program in a University setting, there are opportunities for interdisciplinary and collaborative projects that will help you grow as an artist and teacher. The School of Art seeks candidates whose research, teaching, or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education.
