Position Summary: This position independently manages a broad range of business functions in Student Affairs with unique and specialized activities or services. Responsibilities include conducting financial management in a multifaceted organization primarily funded by a broad range of funding sources; independently analyzing and resolving unprecedented issues and problems that necessitate input from and collaboration of external sources; and communicating information involving complex business and finance policies and principles. The primary functions of this position include planning and budgeting responsibilities and oversight for state/fee funded areas in Student Affairs OVC Business Hub, including the Office of the Vice Chancellor, University Career Services, Dean of Students, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Off-Campus Student Life , Student Conduct, Accessibility Resource Services, LGBTQ Center, Student Affairs Information Technology, Campus Y, Student Affairs Finance & Human Resources, Student Wellness and Student Affairs Development. This position is also the leadership liaison working with the Student Affairs Director of Human Resources to provide guidance for Human Resource needs. The position will also be a member of the Student Affairs Administrative Leadership Group that has organization-wide responsibilities for providing leadership for finance and human resource issues and initiatives. The position reports to the Director of Business and Finance in Student Affairs. Financial Management: * Compile, monitor, examine, and audit moderately complex financial statements/reports/accounts or budget codes for accuracy, integrity, and conformance to accounting and program guidelines; * Serve as technical advisor on fiscal management and reporting issues; * Conduct monthly meetings with each Department Director to guide expenditure and budget projections. Information Analysis and Decision Making- Finance and Human Resources: * Provide analysis and support for all of the department heads in the OVC Business Hub, works closely with the Director of HR and Director of Business & Finance; * Budget planning for all student fee and administrative fee departments in the OVC Business Hub collaborating with each Department Director; * State funding analysis and ensure fund allocation and usage in accordance with University and organizational expectations. Supervision: * Directly supervise Business Services Coordinator, Budget Analyst and Business Officer for the OVC Business Hub; * Responsible for establishing and maintaining a close working relationship and oversight of staff working with financial and human resource functions in this Hub and collaborate with the other Student Affairs Hubs; * Ensure workload is distributed to enable timely processing for finance and HR actions. Business Administration: * Ensure continuity, integration of policies and procedures with the organization's mission and strategic plan; * Serve as a member of the Student Affairs Administrative Leadership Group to coordinate administrative practices across Student Affairs. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: * Prepare written and/or technical products which convey concise, comprehensive, and accurate findings and conform to guidelines; * Establish effective working relationships that foster organizational success.

Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related business area; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
