Job Details
Duties: Maintenance Mechanic is a multi-trade technician that works with a team of mechanics to maintain campus buildings and ensure the proper operation of all aspects of our operations. The position must have a vocational degree in one of the following trades: electrical, hvac or plumbing trade with field experience. Duties include: inspections, installation, repair maintain and monitor building equipment with a working knowledge of hvac systems, electrical systems up to 480 volts and plumbing equipment. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on motors, pumps, compressors, controls and building automation systems. Experienced in following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications in order to troubleshoot malfunctions. Familiarity with scaffolding, elevated platforms and ladders is a must. Preferred candidates will have professional licenses and certifications or successful completion of certificates will be required. The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday however it will require some weekend work and must be part of the department on-call rotation.

Qualifications: Position located in Kennett Square, PA. No public transportation available. High School Diploma or GED, vocational certification and 5 years of demonstrated experience performing painting work in a professional capacity. Equivalent vocational training may be substituted for work experience. Professional certifications or licenses are preferred. Demonstrated ability and experience in managing multiple projects to completion in accordance with blue prints and plans. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Ability to climb and work from ladders or scaffolding. Must be able to work in a multi-skilled environment and possess a valid driver's license, free of any state or municipal suspension or revocation.
