APPLICATION DEVELOPER A
Duties: The application developer will work on the web platform of the principal investigator (PI)'s meta-analysis research website, together with the PI's graduate students, testing existing methods developed by the PI's graduate students that are within the scope of federally funded grants on systematic reviews, such as meta-analysis methods, network meta-analysis methods, and tests of publication bias.
The application developer will assist the PI by working on collaborative data analysis projects and producing preliminary results as needed. S/he will provide statistical support for various research activities including database management, applying existing tools to biomedical data, and generating tables and figures for publications. S/he will be acknowledged as a co-author in these publications, if s/he meets the criteria of co-authorship.
The application developer will also assist to maintain the website for the PI's research lab.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative field and 0 to 1 year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Applicants must have a solid training in statistical theory and methods. Strong computational skills and programming is desired. The applicant should have excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to work in group setting collaboratively
