The Link Lab at the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science seeks applications for a Program Manager. The incumbent will support The Link Lab at the University of Virginia on a newly funded 5-year National Science Foundation grant on Cyber-Physical Systems Education. Overall, this Program will develop academic programs and experiences, recruit students interested in cyber-physical systems, and generally strengthen multi-disciplinary research at UVA Engineering. The specific duties of the position include program coordination across faculty and graduate students, development and support for outreach programs aimed at student recruitment, scheduling and organizing meetings in support of program objectives, and tracking budgets. In addition to the logistics and coordination support listed above, the Program Manager will be responsible for writing required reports to the National Science Foundation on progress and milestones.
A Bachelor's degree is required with a minimum of two years of related experience in programmatic and administrative support in an office setting. Experience with outreach programs is required. Must have strong writing and organizational skills. Incumbent must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Preferred applicants will have experience in the administration of higher education academic environments with emphasis on science, technology, and engineering fields. Preference will also be given to experience with developing and maintaining websites.
***This is a 30 hour per week position that is eligible for benefits. This is a restricted position and continuation is dependent on funding and satisfactory performance.***
