Family Medicine - General

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide primary health care at the Duke Family Medicine Center, an outpatient primary care clinic, located at North Duke Street, Durham. The APP will provide acute and chronic care, preventive care, health maintenance and prenatal care to new and established patients of all ages 6+ to adults. This may include procedures common in primary care including incision and drainage of abscesses, cryotherapy, and other skin procedures. Opportunity exists for gynecological procedures including implantation of long acting contraceptives.

This is an opportunity to join a new practice location for an existing Family Medicine practice with two experienced Duke physicians. It is located in an existing multi-specialty practice and will be the only primary care practice in that building. Preference for experienced primary care advanced practice provider who is comfortable working independently and growing his/her own primary care panel while also providing team care to the whole practice population.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Completion of accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Program
Board certified, where applicable
Current NC License by NCMB Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner with the NC Medical Board
Current DEA registration Credentialing and ongoing credentialing through Duke University Health System
American Red Cross BLS certification
Adequate CME as outlined by NC Medical Board, Duke Credentialing Office, AAPA & AANP
Completion of required modules (safety, HIPAA, etc.)

Education
