Communications Officer/EPSCoR

Job description

The University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research is seeking to fill a Senior Communications Officer position. This position plays an integral role in the communications, public relations, and marketing strategies for the Center for Applied Energy Research and the university. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to: development and execution of print and electronic communications; website design and maintenance, electronic newsletter, and social media; assistance with conference and event planning; production and distribution of high-quality video content; and maintenance of brand integrity and visual identity. This position also supports Kentucky NSF EPSCoR and the Kentucky Girls STEM Collaborative, including marketing, content development, and data reporting administration.

You must be able to sit a computer for extended periods of time.


8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday; and some weekends.


MS Windows, OSX, Microsoft Office, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, HTML, CSS, and Wordpress.
