The successful candidate for this position will develop a continuum model of solid materials fracturing, conduct computer simulations of mechanical behavior of materials in conditions of cyclic loading, analyze mechanical properties of materials, and visualize the material’s structure. Dr. A. Umantsev will supervise the Post-Doctoral Fellow. Dr. Umantsev’s research group in the Department of Chemistry and Physics at Fayetteville State University is a part of the Center for Hierarchical Materials Design (CHiMaD) at Northwestern University in Chicago, which is funded through the Grant from National Institute of Standards and Technology (DOC NIST).Description of Work Continued:
This is a 9 month position (temporary) with a possibility of extension. Salary is commensurate with the experience.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
