Duke Energy Foundation is funding this internship program via a Workforce Development Grant. The goal of the program is to increase the number of students on campus who have a meaningful internship prior to graduation offering real-life opportunities that prepare students for 21st century careers. The grant will allow FSU to coordinate regional public-private partnerships to develop internship opportunities. The internships allow students to receive hands-on, relevant work experience that may lead to permanent employment opportunities in their course of study. The internships also benefit employers and help the region’s economy.
As part of its commitment to attract and retain businesses within its service area, Duke Energy provides funding to workforce development initiatives to help prepare the next generation for successful careers. These initiatives advance economic development and increase employment opportunities .

Duration of Internship:
This is an eight (8) week internship program where students will work 20 hours per week (maximum of 320 hours).
Location of Internship:
Various small to medium-sized employers/businesses.
Seniors graduating May 2019
Working part-time, student must be able to complete 20 hours/week while in school
