The Goldman School or Dental Medicine seeks a Technologist to scan, design and mill all non-metal restorations. In addition, they will scan cases to be milled/printed at outside lab. They will design in wax and fabricate of all metal and pressed ceramic restoration. The Technologist will communicate treatment plan with faculty/residents. Record, document all cases and materials on shared drive.

Other duties include:

  • Scan and design implant abutments for milling and send file. Receive milled titanium abutments and confirm design on master cast. Scan, design and mill restorations using Zirconia, E-max,PMMA Telio, Celtra duo and other materials.
  • Design in wax and cast all metal restoration. In addition scan cases for 3D Printing using 3D Printer. Scan master cast and send files for printed RPD metal framework. (Design in wax and cast all metal and press all ceramic restorations.
  • Instruct residents during lab rotation to scan/design implant abutments and use of other CAD/CAM software. Pour final impression, pindex master cast, and articulate casts.
  • Discuss treatment plan with faculty and/or residents. Discuss design/sequesnce cases for photographic documentation, case presentation, and board cases.
  • On a weekly basis, log in new cases, and maintain current case due date on share drive for faculty and residents to access.
  • Monitor and order all lab supplies, precious metals, attachments and implant components.

Minimum 1 year of dental technologist experience or dental technology school graduate.
