Position Summary:

The incumbent is responsible to provide operational and administrative support to the department and its leadership. Prepares reports, statistical data collection, analysis and reporting. Manages administrative office and supervises front desk staff and administrative support staff and is accountable for the results produced by such staff. Represents the department on committees and special projects as requested.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $20.69 Midpoint $27.32 Maximum $33.96

Required Qualifications:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to supervise others

Demonstrated ability to problem solve, prioritize and organize work

Demonstrates a sound understanding of the responsibilities related to the transcription of patient records to protect the patient and the Medical Center

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Minimum 5 years' experience within a healthcare professional or administrative department

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Strong customer service orientation with an ability to interact effectively with all levels, including staff, management, physicians, patients, and families

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a UC and/or union environment

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Lead/Supervisory experience in a healthcare environment
