About The American University in Cairo:

Job Description:

The American University in Cairo is seeking a visiting assistant professor or instructor for a one-year full-time position starting in the fall semester of 2019, to teach courses in music technology (for example, microphone techniques, Protools, digital editing and mastering, live sound reinforcement, sound for picture production) and direct a small, high-end project recording studio. The ability to teach Western or Arab music theory would be an asset.


Requirements:

Significant experience in one or more aspects of music technology. Degree in music technology or related field and some experience teaching at the university level strongly preferred. We seek a candidate with an understanding of the skills involved in the music industry, and also a good basic understanding (at a minimum) of music theory and practice.
