Clinical Faculty of the University of Colorado School of Medicine work in the Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) Network of Care (NOC) and provide medical care to acutely ill and injured infants, children and adolescents in our 24/7 and afterhours network of Emergency and Urgent Care facilities. In this role, they perform history and physical examinations to define and execute appropriate workup that leads to diagnosis, treatment and disposition. Work in this setting will require technical and procedural skills and provision of procedural sedation and may require pediatric resuscitation and advanced life support (see skills below). In addition, Clinical Faculty members are involved with institutional quality and patient safety improvement and development of clinical care guidelines that aim to provide consistent, quality care throughout our institution and are core members of the clinical Pediatric teaching staff for University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Examples of Work Performed:
Provision of pediatric emergency care in the Children's Hospital Colorado Emergency Department as well as possibility one or more of the satellite emergency departments and urgent care sites.
Teaching of house staff and medical students, referring facilities and physicians, transport teams, families and the broader community.
Participation in and support of the clinical research activities of the Section of Emergency Medicine.

Salary and Benefits:
The hiring salary for this position is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

- MD or DO degree, board certification in Pediatrics.
- Board certification/eligibility in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or Emergency Medicine
- Completion of fellowship training in Emergency Ultrasound.
- At least 2 years of clinical program development, research, and education
- Experience with pediatric population; pediatric emergency medicine, critical care or urgent care exposure ideal.
- Completion of fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
- Experience with pediatric patient population; pediatric emergency, ultrasound, critical care or urgent care exposure required.
Proven administrative and leadership ability.
