Degree and Area of Specialization:
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
--At least one year experience in a higher education setting, preferably in student affairs (may include graduate student assistantships or internships)
--General knowledge of student development theory
-Experience with campus programs, student organizations, residential life or first year orientation programs or similar student-facing experience
--Demonstrated ability to manage student programs and/or co-curricular activities and a commitment to student success
--Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations of students and staff
--Ability to manage multiple projects with complex logistics, including successful management and supervision of student staff
-- Proven track record in contributing to a successful team in a fast-paced, innovative environment
--Strong organizational and planning skills
--Excellent written, oral, and personal communication skills
License or certificate:
This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Summer Term and is responsible for the successful planning, implementation, and facilitation of student programs in the summer (e.g., early start, precollege, summer cohort programs). This position will work closely with students participating in the programs, including leading orientation and co-curricular activities and is responsible for fostering a safe, encouraging, and collaborative environment for students.

Work schedule is standard business hours 8am-4:30pm but will require some nights/weekends depending on the programs they are supporting.
