The McIntire Department of Art is seeking an Intermediate Administrative Coordinator to support general and academic activities for the Studio Art Program. The Intermediate Administrative Coordinator will serves as a liaison between the Art Department leadership team and our faculty and students, as well as other University professionals to successfully manage the department's financial, academic, and event related programming. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to these areas: procurement, accounts payable, travel, student hiring & timekeeping, visiting artists programming, general academic support, and events. This position is the main point of contact for Studio Art Program visitors, faculty and students, and the alternate contact for the Art History Program.
A High School Diploma is required with at least two years of experience in an administrative role. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; outstanding customer service skills; and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to follow through on tasks with attention to detail. Must be proficient MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Experience with Managing budgets is required.
