Job Summary:

Providing clinical care to children and adolescents with general neurological disorders including recurrent headaches, epilepsy, and other common neurological disorders in an outpatient and inpatient setting. This position will be primarily located at our North Clinic in Broomfield, Colorado.

Examples of Work Performed:

  • Primary responsibility for the management of children and adolescents with a variety of acute and chronic neurological conditions including epilepsy, recurrent headaches, and tics, and other movement disorders at our outpatient/inpatient clinics or Network of Care location (North);
  • Serve as a member of interdisciplinary inpatient team providing evaluation and management of children and adolescents with acute and chronic neurological diseases;
  • On-going follow-up care both in clinic and by phone, for neurology patients;
  • Participation and contribution to the training, mentorship and education of residents, fellows and APP's;
  • Contribute to the program development, including involvement in ongoing QI projects.

Salary and Benefits:

The hiring salary for this position is $180,680 to $212,908 and is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Medical Degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree;
  • Board Certified or Eligible in American Academy of Psychiatry and Neurology, with Special Qualification in Child Neurology;
  • Completion of residency training in Child Neurology.


Conditions of Employment:

  • Must successfully pass a 10-panel drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado.
  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal and sex-offender background check.


Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills; both written and orally;
  • Broad knowledge and clinical skills in pediatric neurology;
  • Commitment to Patient Safety, Quality Care, Communication, and Customer Service.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in a Child Neurology practice: Private or Academic;
  • Previous experience performing work in quality improvement projects in Child Neurology;
  • Previous teaching experience.
