Posting Summary:
University of Virginia's Information Technology Services department seeks a Cloud Application Administrator. The Cloud Applications Administrator will work in tandem with Senior Technology Analysts on the license management team to devise provisioning and management methodologies to enable efficient, effective, and compliant delivery of Software as a Service (SaaS) products such as Qualtrics, Box, DocuSign, Poll Everywhere, Zoom, and other industry leading products. The Cloud Applications Administrator will work with project and operations teams on integrations and support of these packages, as well as with our Identity and Access Management teams to leverage LDAP and Active Directory data to drive provisioning and entitlement processes.
Key activities and responsibilities for the Cloud Application Administrator include:
- Develop and maintain system processes and documentation mapping contract entitlements to access rules, utilizing a deep understanding of directory system attributes and functionality
- Collaborate with internal colleagues to design and implement data feeds\interfaces with other systems, including databases, monitoring tools, LDAP, etc.
- Work with integration teams, licensing managers and stakeholders to develop and analyze requirements for new services.
- Serve as access administrator for vendor sourced software platforms (Box, Qualtrics, CrashPlan, etc.)
- Manage configuration of SaaS systems to streamline delivery of services to the user community
- Design and implement scripts, access rules, workflows, and otherwise configure or modify applications and platforms to provide access, ensure compliance and provide detailed reporting.
- Create and maintain system design documentation for the administration role.
- Manage enhancement and defect mitigation using formal Change Management process
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to other employees as necessary

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience interpreting complex directory system data and applying this knowledge to system design and operation
- Experience administering SaaS systems, managing access and entitlement provisioning
- Demonstrated skill querying and parsing data into rulesets
- Experience using scripting languages (i.e. PowerShell) and APIs to automate processes
- Experience with database management concepts, and architectures
- Knowledge and understanding of data flow diagrams and logic
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
- Ability to analyze and correct system faults\errors through detailed log analysis
