Duties: SAS Computing is the technology support organization for Penn's School of Arts & Sciences. Dependable, secure, up-to-date information technology is vital to the academic mission of the School and the University. Our faculty, staff, and students use information technology in the service of research and learning.

Duties include:
Responsible for smooth daily operation of support services through SAS Computing Multi-Media Services. Coordinate first-tier AV support school-wide with part-time staff, local support providers and Classroom Technology Services. Schedule classes in computer labs; setup automated recordings in Central Pool classrooms. Manage the Multi-Media Services inventory of portable equipment. Manage systems to process equipment loans, schedule recordings and assign staff. Oversee preventive maintenance checks in classrooms. Train part-time staff in Multi-Media Services; prepare documentation about media services for both internal staff and customers. Coordinate and operate video conferences, webcasts and VIP presentations. Prepare invoices for billable services.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience preferred. The successful candidate must be organized, possess excellent customer service skills and be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. The final candidate should be abreast of current and emerging technologies. Familiarity with Mac & Windows OS, and popular mobile devices required; ability to work and communicate with users of varying levels of technical expertise required; ability to work independently with limited direct supervision in a self-motivated and self-directed manner required. Preferred experience includes editing applications (Adobe Creative Suites , FinalCut Studio, Premiere), professional and commercial HD video cameras, audio recording systems, lighting and production equipment, media distribution services, Drupal content management system, live web-streaming, and video & collaboration conferencing systems. Candidates must possess excellent organizational, time management skills and be able to adapt to frequent change, and be able to work under pressure. All candidates should have a strong customer service orientation and a set of solid interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs required. Position schedule 8:00 am to 4:00pm, with occasional need for flexible schedule.
