ASSOC DIR AFR AMR RES CTR

Job description

Duties: The Associate Director designs, markets, and delivers workshops and other educational and informational programs, often in collaboration with other Schools and Departments, that support the mission of the African-American Resource Center (AARC). They also provide short-term individual and group counseling and assistance to members of the Penn community in an effort to resolve problems through mediation and other informal resolution interventions. The Associate Director also serves as a liaison to campus committees, student organizations, and community groups. They also facilitate support and working groups; write articles and other materials for the AARC newsletter, blog, and other media; manage the AARC website, and supervise the work of AARC interns and work-study students. The Associate Director manages the office in the Director's absence.

Qualifications: A master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field and 3 to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
