Part-Time Parking Operations Officer

Type of Employment: Staff
Employment Status: Part time (Up to 28 Hrs)
Enforce campus parking regulations in assigned parking lots and facilities; issue parking citations
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor condition and functionality of parking infrastructure and report problems; troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment such as meters, pay stations, gate operators, etc.
- Provide event parking support by setting up cones, barrier tape, meter hoods, etc.
- Share campus parking, facility, and event information with faculty, staff, students, and campus visitors
- Notify supervisor of safety/security issues encountered on patrol
Campus parking and motor vehicle regulations
Campus map, particularly parking lots, streets, and building names/locations
Safe work methods and applicable safety regulations
Monday - Friday
Between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Interact tactfully and effectively with those encountered on the field and in the office
Operate a motor vehicle safely in all authorized areas of campus including areas congested with vehicles and pedestrians
Understand and follow oral and written instructions
Maintain full attention to details when performing assigned duties
Operate smart phones, wireless printers, FCC-licensed radios, and other similar devices
Minimum education: high school diploma or GED
Criminal background check
Good driving record
Willingness to work in variety of weather conditions
