Part-time instructors needed in the Woodbridge, Virginia area to teach Biology (Lecture and/or Lab) courses at the Woodbridge Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. Interested applicants should have a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Biology.

Duties and Responsibilities

Adjunct faculty are employed to teach up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester and/or up to 8 credit hours during summer session. Teaching load is based upon student enrollment and staffing needs. Instruction may be during the day, evening, or weekend. Compensation is per credit hour and based upon rank. The adjunct faculty appointment contains no guarantee of continued employment.

Minimum Qualifications

Interested applicants should have a Master’s Degree required, with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Biology.

Preferred Qualifications

College level teaching experience and/or relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Adept knowledge of instructional technologies. Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Ability to work with a diverse student population. Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required
