Basic Function

Adjunct faculty members are responsible for teaching various courses in the Computer Science field of study. Courses are offered in traditional, hybrid, and distance learning environments. Adjunct faculty members are needed to teach day, evening or weekend classes. These positions are located at the Alexandria campus. Salary is per credit hour and based on education and experience.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesMinimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Computer Science.

Preferred Qualifications

A combination of industry experience and college level teaching experience preferred; administrative experience with an education environment and experience with Blackboard learning management system preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to use technology to enhance instruction; excellent oral/written communication skills; a commitment to teaching excellence.
