The Department of Ophthalmology at Stanford University is seeking a Residency/Fellowship and Education Program Coordinator. Under the direction of the faculty education director, the coordinator will manage and prioritize program competencies to ensure that important deadlines are communicated and met. The coordinator will also supervise the education program assistant to ensure transactional tasks are completed. S/he will be able to identify and resolve issues and execute decisions within own work area. The coordinator will be responsible for the compliance and continued accreditation of education programs via the governing bodies (ACGME and AUPO) as well as the stewardship of the residents and fellows to meet programmatic requirements and milestones. The successful candidate will work with the GME office, clinic, hospital, and other satellite locations to successfully coordinate and facilitate the learning experience of incoming and current residents and fellows. S/he will have strong organizational, communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail skills.
