Job description

Hesston College seeks a full-time English Professor to teach all levels of composition and direct the Writing Fellows program on campus, with regular opportunities to teach literature courses. Candidates should have a master’s degree or higher in English (Ph.D. preferred) and a commitment to Christian higher education and the mission and values of Hesston College. Additional desired qualifications include teaching experience and a commitment to student-centered instruction. Candidates who can contribute to the diversity of course content and program offerings are encouraged to apply. This 9-month position begins August 2019. Located about 30 minutes north of Wichita, Kansas, Hesston College is a private liberal arts college that operates on a two-plus-two model. Historically a two-year college, most of Hesston's more than 50 programs of study are two-year transfer programs. Hesston also offers a four-year bachelor's degree program in nursing, and keeps an eye on industry trends and student needs to develop programs and offerings to best meet those needs.
