Student Affairs Officer III
The College of Arts and Sciences Advising Center at the University of Kentucky is accepting applications for an academic probation advisor. This person is responsible for advising students in the College of Arts and Sciences (between 150-200 students); contribution to and participation in approximately 30 year-round advising conferences for new Freshman, transfer and readmitted students; participation in student recruitment activities; development of programs and materials; make responsible decisions regarding student reinstatement to the university, course application toward degrees, transfer course equivalencies, student credit enrollment overloads, and academic probation counseling; promote internship and study abroad opportunities; teach two sections of A&S Academic Probation classes each semester and coordination of part-time instructors. This position will be involved in daily communication with students, parents, staff, faculty, off-campus constituents, and visitors.

Required Related Experience
Required License/ Registration/Certification
Sitting and/or standing at workstation for extended periods; lifting and/or carrying light-weight objects.
Monday-Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; and occasional evenings and weekends.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
Master's plus 3 years of experience with advising undergraduate students; and teaching and course creation/assessment experience are preferred.
