LOCATION: Green Bay
STANDARD HOURS: 37.5 hours per week; Typical hours Monday-Friday; 8am-4pm, at least one evening 10am-6pm. Flexibility to work other hours as needed.
MINIMUM STARTING SALARY*: $20.75 per hour
*Current benefit eligible employees will be placed within the pay range based on their current rate/range.

POSITION SUMMARY

Assist in the administration and processing of federal and state financial aid programs in accordance with applicable regulations.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Understand, apply, and explain all federal and state regulations pertaining to the application for and distribution of student financial aid.
  • Serve as a point of contact for in person, phone, and email inquiries. Interact with students and/or families to follow up on missing and/or incomplete information.
  • Provide technical assistance in the daily operations of financial aid programs. Recommend process improvements to increase office efficiency.
  • Provide support to the department to include running and reviewing reports, monitoring and maintaining records and databases, data entry, and coordinating student correspondences
  • Develop complex materials; research, compose, prepare and process correspondence, forms, databases and complex relational spreadsheets files.
  • Assist with maintaining and tracking of enrollment and grades as it pertains to financial aid award eligibility and accuracy; assist with the timely processing of financial aid award adjustments
  • Responsible for adding third party and institutional scholarship funding as resources to students' financial aid award package using professional judgment when necessary
  • Responsible for processing financial aid verification documents including data entry and scanning.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Associate Degree in field related to Finance
Experience: Minimum of two years of financial aid experience.

**An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.

Experience with Financial Database Management System (e.g. PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) including US Dept. of Education Software systems (e.g. COD, FAA Access, NSLDS) preferred
