Program Advisor Senior

Job description

The Program Advisor Senior will develop and implement retention initiatives and services for first year underrepresented minority students based on the use of predictive analytics data, program and service surveys/evaluations and best practices; advise underrepresented minority first year students, as well as, all other first year students receiving the William C. Parker scholarship on academic, career, personal and social issues. Track and maintain records of student participation in Academic Progress Sessions, group meetings, academic support services and enrichment/engagement activities. Provide leadership and administrative oversight of the Freshman Summer Program and summer bridge initiatives including developing a strategic communication plan for students and high school counselors, attending recruitment events to promote and market the programs and initiatives. Serve as lead staff member on retention efforts for first year underrepresented minority students. Facilitate communication between department advisors and students. Provide administrative oversight of the CARES office in the absence of the director.
