The Green Dot Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the Green Dot bystander intervention program at FSU. The Green Dot program is aimed at educating individuals to recognize high risk situations that may result in sexual violence and to provide bystanders with skills to assess a situation and to intervene in a safe and effective manner.
Provides coordination, education, outreach and training for Green Dot bystander intervention program to include: conducting focus groups, overview speeches, bystander trainings, booster sessions and meetings. Manages and executes services outlined in the FSU Green Dot Grant application. Identify priorities based on data and evidence based interventions. Plans, implements and evaluates theory/evidence based, innovative, violence prevention programs. Evaluates sexual violence primary prevention efforts. Participates in the development of strategic plans, goals and measurable objectives for violence prevention programs and services and advocates for environmental and policy change strategies.
Collaborate and build relationships with University and community stakeholders to execute a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to bystander intervention. Participates in university and community committees and task forces.
Recruit, train and supervise Green Dot Graduate Assistants. Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of large (Green Dot) campus events and social media campaigns.
Manage the grant budget related to Green Dot.
Bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience supervising or coordinating a health project or program in the prevention field and at least two years of experience working with community stakeholders or community planning.
Collaborative work style with self-directed initiative and presentation skills.
Experience working with college student populations, including identity based populations.
Ability to provide leadership and problem solving skills in analyzing health and safety needs of college students.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; computer literate.
Green Dot Certification of Completion for the College population from the Green Dot Institution or the ability to obtain within three months of hire date.

Soft Money Funded Position
This position is time-limited based on soft money funding, with renewal contingent upon available funds and the needs of the University.
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
