This position is located in the Postal Services division of Business Services.

Responsibilities

Responsible for operations and supervisor of all Meter, Standard Mail and Departmental Mail employees. Oversees all reconciliation of postal documents to ensure documents are processed and delivered to postal accounting on a daily basis. Evaluates postal processes and recommends changes to increase productivity and accuracy. Works closely with General Manager #60137 to ensure timely completion of day to day tasks.Manages all equipment maintenance and schedules preventative maintenance. Coordinates with Postal Accounting to ensure postal accounts have sufficient funds available for processing mail.

Works to formulate and implement all cross training to ensure personnel are trained in all areas of postal services to provide the highest level of service regardless of staffing. Works to formulate and implement operational policies and procedures of postal matters with other postal management. Manages all internal postal employees to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed.
Acts as a customer relations ambassador for the University. Performs additional duties as assigned in support of the Office of Business Services. Responsible for assisting other divisions with OBS such as Postal Services, Copier, Warehouse, FSUCard Program, Vending, Seminole Golf, Laundry and Dining to ensure the delivery of all OBS services are provided to the FSU community. This position should have the ability to lift and move objects weighing more than 25lbs.

Qualifications

High school diploma and four years of experience. Or post high school education and experience equal to four years.

Experience applying the principles and practices to strategically align tasks and people with organizational goals and objectives.

Experience communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.

Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Experience evaluating process effectiveness and developing change or alternatives.

Experience gathering, interpreting, reporting, and/or editing information.

Experience training and supervising employees.

Experience using applicable computer applications (such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and basic computer functions.

Experience implementing the principles and practices of project planning, development and evaluation.

Ability to lift and move objects weighing more than 25lbs.

A valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain one.

Anticipated Salary Range

Mid $30,000's

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.
