Nurse Practitioner III Supervisor

Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary health care team providing comprehensive and age appropriate care to patients presenting to CAST for concerns of child maltreatment. Educates patients and families at CAST regarding evaluation of child maltreatment. Leads the CAST clinic staff on the daily operation of the unit including activities that contribute to quality improvement. Adheres to Universal Precautions, customer care standards, HIPAA regulations, state and federal laws, and University policy. Assumes responsibility for meeting patients and families, staff and departmental needs. Adheres to Organizational, State and Federal Policies and Rules and Regulations.
The Nurse Practitioner III functions according to accepted Standardized Procedures for Nurse Practitioners through the Department of Pediatrics. Under the Nurse Practice Act will perform independent functions utilizing these standardized procedures and general practice protocols. Thus the NPIII is responsible for creating and revising of such standardized procedures and is accountable for maintaining the policies and protocols for the midlevel practitioner at CAST delegated by the child abuse pediatricians. Will act as an expert clinical resource and mentor for clinic staff relating to child maltreatment. Finally, will assist Departmental leadership with efforts in maintaining a highly respected CAST clinic and becoming a community leader in the area of child maltreatment.

Salary: Hourly $8,832.00 - $12,197.67
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Career Position.
Must be comfortable working in the field of child maltreatment.
Flexible schedule.
Occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Final candidate subject to background check.
