Director of Sponsored Programs & Research
Lewis University invites applications for a Director of Sponsored Programs and Research. The Director has the responsibility for promoting and managing sponsored programs at the University. The Director supports and guides faculty, staff, and administration in locating external funding opportunities, assists in the preparation, coordination, and submission of proposals, and supports faculty in the administration of the funded programs and research. The Director serves as an expert for interpreting, explaining, and applying governmental research regulations, and developing and implementing policies that provide infrastructure and support for sponsored programs university-side.

Master’s degree, Certified Research Administrator (CRA), or significant demonstrated experience. Demonstrated experience in sponsored program administration, pre-award, proposal development and grant management experience, and developing and presenting educational and training programs for a variety of audiences, preferably in a university environment. Working knowledge of current external regulations, laws, and sponsor policies related to research and sponsored projects administration. Superior oral and written communication skills.
Extensive and demonstrated pre-award, proposal development and grant writing experience. Experience drafting and negotiating research and research-related agreements with the federal and state governments.
