PENN MEDICINE CLINICIAN
Duties: The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking Penn Medicine Clinicians to serve as an inpatient (hospitalist) physicians. Applicants must have an M.D or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care. Completion of a categorical internal medicine residency, license to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania, and DEA licensure required. Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine also required.
Penn Medicine Clinicians are staff physicians with academic appointments commensurate with experience. A minimum of 5% of clinical effort is allocated to teaching services at Penn Medicine hospitals. Practice sites are the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia VA Medical Center, and Good Shepherd Penn Partners Specialty Hospital/Penn Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine. In additional to general medicine acute care hospital blocks, clinical work will may include long-term acute care (LTACH) settings, consults/surgical co-management, and limited evening and night shifts. Nocturnist and weekendist positions may also be available.
Qualifications: M.D degree and 0 to 1 year of experience required. Completion of a categorical internal medicine residency, license to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania, and DEA licensure required. Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine also required.
