Duties: The Administrative Coordinator will manage the agendas and daily operations for the Racial Empowerment Collaborative (REC) and oversee the activities surrounding the Forward Promise (FP) Initiatives grant. Oversee and manage budgets/expenses for the center and grants, totaling $ 500,000. Oversee all consulting agreements, preparing and processing purchase requests/invoices, and working with various internal and external vendors. Coordinate with internal and external constituencies to move forward the goals of REC and FP. Perform management of National Advisory meetings. Provides management of a variety of projects and oversees administrative support to the FP activities, primary of which is the annual convening of Grantees. Other activities include establishing procedures in conjunction with the Director to improve work-flow for Forward Promise. This position is contingent upon grant funding.
Qualifications: A high school diploma and 5-7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Ability to work closely and effectively in varied professional capacities with a select diverse group. A strong positive customer/client service orientation is essential. Background with managing events preferred. Experience with marketing and leading a team of students and professionals to complete project tasks. Ability to write reports and summaries on center activities and productivity.
