The School of Nursing at the University of Virginia is seeking stellar candidates for an open rank faculty position in Pediatric Nursing, specifically Acute, Chronic or Critical Care. Working among the nation's best nurse scholars, academics and students, the incumbent will prepare the next generation of nurses. This is an exciting opportunity to work at one of the nation's top facilities or in the vibrant communities that surround the university. Rank and compensation are dependent upon education, experience, and scholarship. Joint appointments and generous compensation packages that include moving and start-up funds for researchers are available. Endowed chair appointments are available for highly qualified candidates.

PhD in nursing or related field is required by the start date of the appointment. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of a program of research relevant to pediatric nursing and the minimum of an initial track record of funding. Rank will be determined based on research experience, funding and productivity. Previous experience teaching is essential. Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (ACPNP) certification or certificate eligibility is desirable. Licensure in Virginia by the start date of the position is required.
