University of Miami in Miami, FL is seeking a Research Assistant Professor to conduct a wide variety of research to develop new technologies including medical robots and devices, to advance disease treatment in Interventional Oncology. Work alongside clinical faculty and fellows to quickly address clinical needs and develop and apply new technologies to the clinic, and test and evaluate outcomes of the protocols. 

Position requires a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and two years of post-doctoral experience doing the following: medical robotics and devices; image guided therapies in interventional radiology; development of image guided medical robotic systems; writing scientific papers and research proposals; CAD/CAM skills to design and manufacture medical robots; electrical skills for developing controllers for medical robots; and computer programming skills to develop software for image guided medical robots.
