Position Summary

The Development Writer is a communications professional that will:
•Support the Donor Relations and Stewardship Office in its efforts to fulfill the university mission by creating communications to recognize, appreciate, inform and engage current and past donors in the life of the university.
•Create communication materials for donors to enhance their relationship with UNC Greensboro to increase the likelihood of continued personal and philanthropic involvement.
•Support the Development Office as a writer and copy editor in the development of donor proposals, gift agreements, and award nominations with the primary focus of writing compelling copy to convince a donor to financially support the university and to inform the prospective donor of the programmatic needs and fundraising initiatives for a campaign.
•Special Projects as assigned



Minimum Qualifications

BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN A DISCIPLINE RELATED TO THE AREA OF ASSIGNMENT; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. ALL DEGREES MUST BE RECEIVED FROM APPROPRIATELY ACCREDITED INSTITUTIONS.



Preferred Qualifications

Experience writing for University Advancement or other Non-Profit Institutions.



Alternate Option
