Position Summary:

UW Health Division of Hospital Medicine seeks qualified candidates (MD or DO or equivalent) in Internal Medicine for a Clinical Associate or Clinical Assistant Professor position to staff the Hospitalist service at Meriter hospital in Madison. UW Health and Meriter have a joint operating agreement which has created an opportunity to expand the Hospitalist service and provide enhanced patient care. Candidates must be eligible for a Wisconsin medical license and BE/BC in Internal Medicine. Primary duties include clinical patient care and clinical teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. The incumbent will be expected to provide clinical patient care, admitting and managing hospital inpatients, including serving as staff to pre-op evaluation clinic, post-discharge rapid follow-up clinic. The incumbent will also provide medical consultation within the hospital; teach residents, medical students, fellows in relation to patients on the hospitalist service; and participate in system-wide quality improvement projects at UW Health approved locations.
