Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred. Preferably in education, health care administration or closely related field.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

-Minimum 2 years of experience in educational administration and/or office management in an academic healthcare setting.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and previous experience with budget and auditing procedures is desired.
-The candidate should have superb organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
-Previous experience working within the University of Wisconsin system and/or Graduate Medical Education (GME), as well as familiarity with ACGME, AAMC and other accrediting organizations, is desirable.
-Candidates should have a strong commitment to medical education.
-Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience.

Position Summary:

The Residency Program Coordinator (PC) works within the Office of Education at the UW Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn) and assists in the administration and daily operations of the Ob/Gyn residency and Ob/Gyn rural residency programs. The PC also supports the education initiatives of the department, through management of the simulation program, global health program and rural outreach program. The PC reports to the Education Program Manager to collaboratively ensure the ongoing accreditation and success of the training programs. The PC assists the Program Director in the day-to-day activities involved in the maintenance of the residency programs, and residents within.
