Wireless Network Coordinator
The Wireless Network Coordinator is responsible for maintaining technical operations for the college wireless network. Responsibilities include configuring, installing and administrating wireless access points, wireless controllers, Clearpass security AirWave analytical data software, newly added cellular equipment aa well police radio equipment at all campus locations. In addition, the Wireless Network Coordinator will work with other areas in the college to support wireless devices that may experience interference and operational issues.
This position provides support for LAN switches and devices at all campus locations along with supporting the WAN, working with external providers and ISP's. This position also executes configuring, programming, and installing campus security devices, monitoring and support of network operations as well as all ancillary devices.
Finally, assist with support and installation for phone systems, video conferencing, video streaming and provide routine maintenance of wiring or equipment within the system. This position reports to the Sr. Network Technology Manager.

Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, networking or a related field required.
Five years experience in Wireless networking and RF, telecommunications, networking or a related field required.
Knowledge and understanding of network and wireless security.
Certified Wireless Network Administrator
In depth understanding of RF operations and principles
Experience with phone wiring and PBX systems.
Knowledge of data transmission technologies and protocols.
Familiarity with Microsoft desktop products and knowledge of basic computer skills.
Ability to use basic test equipment.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Knowledge of networking standards and protocols: 802.3, STP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP.
Knowledge of wireless standards 802.11b/g/n/ac
Knowledge of IP Addressing and basic subnetting.
Familiarity with Cisco & Juniper command line interface.
Knowledge of server hardware and software.
Familiarity with Voice over IP technology.
Knowledge of video management systems.
Ability to work evening and weekend work schedule and be flexible in an ongoing work schedule.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational and customer service skills.
Ability to climb a ladder.
