Workforce Trainer - Business and Career Technologies, Customized Training
The Business and Career Technologies Workforce Trainer will provide work place skills training to adults, deliver hands-on, practical training, experiences in a traditional or non-traditional classroom setting and/or lab environment. The instruction provided will be specific to participants enrolled in Workforce Education and Training across the career continuum including, but not limited to career starters, career changes, those seeking career advancement and professional development.
The qualified trainer will be able to participate in training needs assessment using various techniques, conduct interactive and engaging training (at multiple sites around the region) for individuals, groups and companies using alternative and non-traditional methodologies appropriate and effective for working with adult learners, coordinating with the Workforce Education and Training and Corporate Sales teams to prepare and/or select education materials, and assist with the development and/or evaluation of new curricula and program designs.

Targeted Hire Date: 12/3/2018
A minimum of two years of work experience, adult and workforce development training experience, or facilitating educational programs with labor or employer organizations.
Working knowledge of practices and techniques used in adult and workforce education.
Experience with adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to travel to sites throughout the region to conduct training, and work within flexible hours which may include some weekends and evenings.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances. Training may occur at any of Waubonsee's four campuses or onsite at a specific client location.
Ideal candidates are industry professionals with recent technical and/or business management experience.
Candidates must be available to teach Monday through Friday during business hours and have flexibility to travel to local business facilities.
Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred from a regionally accredited institution.
Extensive hands-on, practical, current knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required.
