The Psychological and Counseling Services program in the Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems at Florida State University is delighted to announce a tenure earning faculty position in the NASP approved M.S./Ed.S. School Psychology Program and the APA-accredited Combined Doctoral Program in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology. The position is at the Assistant Professor rank. Responsibilities

Candidates for this position should have an earned doctorate from an APA-accredited and/or NASP approved doctoral program in School Psychology (or a degree program with specialization in school psychology). The program is seeking a candidate with clear expressed interest in school-psychology training, policy, and professional issues.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an aptitude for conducting research, teaching and mentoring graduate students, as well as a commitment to both the Ed.S. School Psychology program and the Combined Doctoral Program in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology. We are seeking a candidate who will contribute to strengthening program quality and student recruitment, and assuring continued accreditation.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate experience and evidence of quality teaching of core school psychology courses, and engagement at state and/or national levels within school-psychology professional associations. We are seeking candidates with evidence of strong scholarship and evidence of (or potential for) extramural research grant funding in an area that is consistent with school-psychology research.

Preferred

It is preferred that the candidate be licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in Florida.

This is a nine-month, tenure earning position at the assistant professor rank, with possible summer employment. The anticipated start date for this position is 8/2019.
