About the Schneider School of Business & Economics: The Donald J. Schneider School of Business & Economics (www.snc.edu/schneiderschool) houses the college’s undergraduate programs in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, International Business & Language Area Studies, and Leadership Studies, as well as its MBA program. The school also contains two centers – the Center for Business & Economic Analysis and the Center for Exceptional Leadership – and works closely with a third center at St. Norbert – the Strategic Research Institute. The school is a member of AACSB International (www.aacsb.edu/about).

The late Donald J. Schneider, president, CEO, and chairman of Schneider National, graduated from St. Norbert with a degree in business. Under his leadership, the company grew into a trucking and logistics giant, in large part due to Don’s commitment to the company’s core values, an unwavering belief that a person’s job delivered personal fulfillment and self-worth, and the early adoption of innovations that would later become industry standards. In 2014, Pat Schneider, Don’s wife, made a gift of unprecedented generosity to establish the Donald J. Schneider School of Business & Economics, and to found its Master of Business Administration program.

The Position of Dean of the Schneider School: The Dean serves as the academic and administrative leader of the SSBE and advocates for the mission, purpose, and support of the SSBE’s programs. The Dean reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The Dean exercises responsibility over all internal and external activities impacting the school, implementation of its strategic plan, and its financial management. The Dean will also work with the Vice President of College Advancement to identify priorities for philanthropic support and secure such support for teaching, research, program development, professional development, facilities, scholarships, and other needs, while providing leadership and support for the value of a liberal-arts-based education for business and economics majors. The Dean develops and maintains partnerships with external business and community partners that further the strategic directions of the SSBE, as well as promotes activities that serve the needs of the business community in northeast Wisconsin.

Qualifications: Earned doctorate or terminal degree in a business or business-related discipline. Record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and research that warrants appointment as a tenured full professor. Demonstrated successful administrative leadership, including management of budgets, personnel, and curriculum. Experience with the evaluation and development of faculty and staff. Record of successful collaboration within the business community as well as experience in resource development. Commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and shared governance. Experience with AACSB accreditation processes is preferred.
