Post Doctoral Fellow
Description:
This one-year Post Doctoral Fellow position in the Counseling & Psychological Services department will serve as a training position for a graduate of an accredited Ph.D. or Psy.D. graduate program in clinical or community psychology. This position provides individual and group therapy outreach, crisis management and administrative responsibilities for Emerson Counseling & Psychological Services.
Campus Location: Boston Campus
Required Knowledge:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Education (including hardware, software, and equipment) Ph.D or Psy.D in clinical or counseling psychology; strong clinical skills and a solid background in psychological crisis intervention and management; knowledgeable of psychological trends on college campuses; ability to effectively work with students from a broad range of backgrounds and life experiences; a commitment to diversity and team building; excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred/Desirable Knowledge:
Good computer skills, fluency in Windows Office Products and Electronic Medical Reports (EMRs).
Required Prior Work Experience:
Prior experience in college mental health or community mental health. Skills in crisis intervention. Experience with brief, solution-focused therapy. Experience in developing and implementing psycho- educational outreach programs and group psychotherapy.
