Emory University invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the School of Law. The next Dean will assume leadership of a top-ranked law school defined by creativity and innovation in legal education. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of legal education as Emory University embarks upon the implementation of a an enterprise-wide strategic plan known as "One Emory: Engaged for Impact "centered on Emory's academic eminence.

Emory Law enrolls more than 1,100 students from throughout the United States and the world pursuing juris doctor, juris master, master of laws, doctor of juridical science, and master of comparative law degrees. More than 12,000 Emory Law alumni work across the globe as leaders in law, business, government, philanthropy, and education. Emory Law faculty have shaped a number of important scholarly disciplines, including law and religion, law and economics, legal history, law and society, children’s rights and family law, feminism and legal theory, global health law, and intellectual property. Emory Law combines a practical and disciplined view towards the study of law, using an individualized curriculum designed to help students discern their unique path. The law school also offers practical training through extensive experiential learning – faculty-supervised and student-led clinics; externship placements throughout the metro Atlanta area; simulation courses; and signature programs in advocacy, technological innovation, and transactional law. A student-centered focus - combined with a commitment to scholarly research, innovative programs, and practical learning - ensures that Emory Law graduates are well-prepared to make an immediate and lasting impact in the legal market upon graduation.
