Duties and Responsibilities 1.This position will be designated as the Clinical Coordinator. The duties include:a. Schedule students at the clinical sites.b. Ensurie their preparedness for rotation by clinical requirements (background checks and immunizations, etc).c. Travel to clinical sites to check on student progress.2. Faculty member will be required to teach a 15 hour credit load or other duties assigned.Courses faculty will be responsible for teaching:HLIN 2202 Reimbursement SystemsHLIN 2207 Health Information SupervisionHLIN 11109 Healthcare StatisticsHLCA 1100 Medical TerminologyHLIN 2208 Clinical Practicum II 3. Will be responsible for working with the Program Coordinator in all matters of the HIT program.4. Advise students5. Participate in School of Health Science and Pierpont programs, committees and meetings6. Conduct assessment of the courses taught.7. Maintain mutually respectful relationships with peers, staff and students.8. Maintain scheduled office and classroom hours.9. Participate in retention and recruitment of students10. Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of the School of Health Sciences.

Minimum Required Education Bachelor's Degree

Required Licenses and/or Certifications RHIT or RHIA

Type and Amount of Experience Needed Bachelor's Degree
